These varied walks start at river level and provide views of wild areas as well as wide vistas across the city from the south at specific points. The short route (about 2 miles), will take less than two hours and is better for those who want a route with paved surfaces.
The long route (about 7 miles) will take four to five hours and includes unpaved paths and possibly mud in wet weather. Where the walks cross main roads there can be access to shops – and buses if someone needs to leave the walk part way through.
There will be a refreshment stop and access to toilets on the way. Information about local history and the local wildlife can be found via the booklets and apps. ‘It’s going to be a journey of discovery’.
