Want to do something different with your lunch break? Why not try taking a walk during your lunch break to get away from your desk?

Walking can help reduce stress, clear your mind whilst getting some exercise and we’ve got you covered with this fabulous choice of lunchtime walks and walking sports:

Avonmouth Lunchtime Walks
Wednesday 15 May, 12.15pm or 1.15pm

A short lunchtime walk in the Avonmouth area to explore some of the local walking and cycling routes.

Please bring suitable shoes, path may me muddy in rain.

Walking Netball Tasters
Wednesday 15 and 22 May, 12.30pm to 1.30pm

Join the growing number of ladies taking part in walking netball around the country. With no running or jumping it’s suitable for the less fit, but also can stretch active ladies (walking can be as nifty as you want!). You may have played netball at school or be a complete novice. The session is inclusive, fun and friendly.

Please wear fitness clothes, trainers and bring a drink.

Sustainable Travel Business Walk
Wednesday 22 May, 12pm to 1pm

Take a walk along the river that played a key part in transporting people and goods in Bristol. See old pictures and hear about some of the changes being made by Bristol City Council’s transport team now to make it easier for us to move on foot and by bike, in the future. Or just ignore all of that and come for a lunchtime walk along the river with colleagues.

There will be plenty of opportunities to break off early if you’re on a short lunch.

Netwalking
Wednesday 29 May, 12.30pm to 1.30pm

We all know how important it is to foster good business networks. Netwalking gives you the opportunity to do this whilst getting some exercise.

Walking Cricket

Walking cricket is a specially adapted game using a pairs cricket format, played with a soft ball.  Socialise with friends, meet new people, get active and most importantly have fun. No prior cricket experience is necessary.
