Description

New for 2023: our Bedminster tour features in BBC’s podcast GANGSTER: THE STORY OF JOHN PALMER – because £13m from the Brinks Mat robbery was laundered through a Bedminster bank. You’ll see Palmer’s business premises, the bank where millions were handed over the counter and the pub Palmer bought and converted to celebrate his success. GANGSTER presenter Livvy Haydock said, “”Fantastic! So much fun and some really gruesome stories!”

Bedminster’s older than Bristol and we visit extraordinary, forgotten places with tales of grave robbers and body snatchers, concrete coffins, hanging judges and a man eating lion.

The walk starts outside The Ropewalk, East St near Bedminster Bridge and ends far end of North Street. You’ll see places and people you didn’t know existed, and by the end of the evening Bedminster will never seem the same again.
