Description

The Bristol Comedy History Walk is a guided tour exploring lesser-known stories of the city, using Bristol’s funniest anecdotes to unravel the association between local knowledge and the sanctioned accounts of ‘big-H’ History. The walk will resist the erasure of ground-level histories in favour of top-down narratives by uncovering the other side of Bristol’s famous sites.

The walk will analyse Bristol’s traditional and newer histories, not forgetting that every city has a slobby, as well as a salubrious side. We’ll show you some surprising things about the city and the spirt of its inhabitants.

This tour is led by stand -up comedians and improvisers though, so expect some hilarious alternative perspectives and some sneaky Bristolian In-jokes to accompany this fun trail around the South West’s coolest city.

The walk is written and produced by Angie Belcher with the support of Bristol Improv Theatre and funded by Bristol City Council.
