Fresh from their globe arts tours with The World Reimagined and involvement in the Decolonising Memory project, join tour guides Cleo Lake-Ayiih and Kabbo Hue Ferdinand on an extensive and thought provoking tour of Bristol’s (unofficial) cultural quarter and St Paul’s exploring the differing cultural contributions and economic factors that have shaped this vibrant, diverse and storied part of Bristol.
Part of the tour includes the 7 saints murals, cultural institutions, the challenges our community centres are facing and the influence of it’s artists in St Pauls, broader Bristol and in the case of “Massive Attack”, the world has made.
The Bristol Cultural Quarter Tour is running concurrently and in addition to our “Decolonising Bristol : back and forth” events. It is the 2nd leg of the broader “Active Archives / Decolonising Memory” projects.
