This circular walk takes you across South Bristol, sometimes along a river, using footpaths and pavements. It leads you to high places and crosses ten of South Bristol’s green spaces. In wet weather on the long route (7 miles) there are two possibly muddy areas – each less than five metres – but a detour might be used if the situation demands it on the day. If required, the short route (2 miles), is better for those wanting a route with paved surfaces. There are great views of the city from the south but obviously this means that some climbing is necessary. An alternative route to avoid the steepest of these would mean some walking beside a main road instead of in a wooded area. Bus services, shops and refreshments can be accessed at certain points.
