This is a walk through the countryside to the north of Clutton with the highlight of going through the beautiful Folly Farm on permissive paths.
The walking is a mixture of flat and undulating country with moderate climbs and downhills.
The start is uphill on lanes through Clutton until we carefully cross the busy main road. From there we follow field footpaths and lanes to Folly Farm where we will climb Round Hill and stop for a short coffee break (bring a flask). Folly Farm is cared for by Avon Wildlife Trust and is a working farm and wildlife sanctuary where you can see butterflies, birds and wildflowers.
It has an amazing natural amphitheatre and from there and Round Hill there are superb views over Chew Valley Lake.
Our return into Clutton takes us along part of the route of the old Bristol and North Somerset Railway. Bus 376 to Station Road Clutton, Walk down Station Road and Church Lane.
