Discover Eastwood Farm, perhaps Bristol’s best kept secret. Eastwood Farm is owned by Bristol City Council. It was designated as a Local Nature Reserve in January 2008. Formerly farmland, part of the site was used for landfill in the 1970’s.
Now it is a beautiful open space enjoyed by people and wildlife. We will take a walk through ancient and new woodland and along the water meadows on the riverside path. The ponds are home to herons, mallards and moorhens. Birds of prey often soar above and a flash of iridescent blue often reveals the kingfisher fishing.
We are also lucky to have Beeses riverside bar within our boundary and walkers may like to end their visit with a visit to this wonderful riverside hostility.
