Description
A circular walk starting from the Blaise Castle car park (parking charges apply). The walk takes in the hill fort as we proceed to Kings Weston Estate. Continuing around the edge of Shirehampton golf course, there are excellent views over the Portway towards Leigh Woods and the River Avon as it cuts through the gorge.
On reaching Sea Mills, we follow the River Trym towards Coombe Dingle.
A climb up Jacob’s Ladder brings us to Coombe Hill and we pass Goram’s Chair before returning to the Blaise car park. Buses to the start: please contact the leader before the walk if you plan to travel by bus.
