A circular evening walk from the very pleasant and green open space that is Hambrook Common.
The walk is a heady mix of lovely riverside walking, farmland and pretty hamlets, all conjoined by a labyrinthine maze of entertaining lanes, footpaths and fields.
This, plus an ancient hill fort, make for an especially varied and interesting evening out.
It’s hard to believe that you’re within an arm’s length of the M4 and M32 at times, and on the edge of the city!
There is a fine country pub at the walk’s end.
Buses to the start: Y1, Y2.
