Take a tour of the places which helped to transform Bristol boy Archie Leach into the Hollywood star & style icon Cary Grant. A fun and informative exploration of the city centre locations associated with the Bristol-born film star, both during his boyhood and on his very many return visits home. Meet in Bristol City Centre [location to be confirmed when you book] at 1.45pm – the walk will start promptly at 2pm. The tour will take roughly one and a half hours, covering a distance of about two miles, and will end next to the Cary Grant statue in Millennium Square (at roughly 3.30pm). The tour will take place come rain or shine, so please bring what footwear and clothing you need to make the tour comfortable! We aim to make the tour as accessible as possible, and there will not be any stairs on the route. This gentle walk is wheelchair accessible, with no big climbs. Your knowledgable guide will shine a new light on Bristol places closely associated with the boy and man.
