Description

Join a stroll across town to hear about some of the 17th and 18th century Quaker characters who walked the same streets.

People like William Penn, who founded the Province of Pennsylvania, and George Fox, one of the key people in setting up Quakerism back in the 1650’s.

Quaker Friars is part of the story, but Quaker oats are not.

The starting point is the bottom of the steps at the main entrance to St Mary Redcliffe Church (by the zebra crossing on Redcliffe Way), and we finish with free refreshments at the Central Quaker Meeting House near the Cabot Circus car park.
