Description

Discover the amazing hidden history of Manor Woods Valley, a small patch of ancient woodland in Bishopsworth.

Listen to moments of the wood’s history from the Saxons to the Seventies retold with humour and song by award-winning theatre company Brave Bold Drama.

This is a self-led sound walk which can be accessed at any point by using the Echoes App.

What’s a sound walk?
It’s a walk and you’re wearing headphones. When you get to certain locations, your smart phone magically plays some recorded sound that we’ve placed there.

What do I need to do?
Download the free Echoes soundwalk app and the sound walk you’re attending in advance, using wifi by clicking this link: https://explore.echoes.xyz/collections/h9CbVa6CxOVpdLU9

Go to the starting location and bring your charged smartphone, sturdy footwear and headphones to listen to the walk.

If coming with children who don’t have their own phone, we advise the use of headphone splitters so an adult and child can listen together.

This walk starts at the entrance to Manor Woods Valley opposite St Peter’s Rise Convenience Store, 6A St Peter’s Rise, BS13 7LU.

You can access this walk on the 75 bus, getting off just past Bishopsworth Library.

Dogs on leads are welcome.

There is street parking near the start of the walk.
