Call in to The Hub on the Clifton side of the bridge (BS8 4DU) and collect instructions for a self-guided walk across the bridge and around the local area.
The Hub has public toilets and a refreshment kiosk, so is an ideal place to start and end your walk!
Our short ‘There and Back Again’ walk is suitable for families with young children and includes a Bridge Bingo sheet with things to spot, count and discover. This walk is on level, paved surfaces and is suitable for buggies, mobility aids, wheelchairs, etc.
‘Over and Under’ is a classic 3.8km loop across the bridge, descending the sloping paths through Leigh Woods to the Avon Trail and returning with steep ascent via Nightingale Valley. This route may be muddy and includes woodland paths and a large number of stone steps.
