Join us for a calming and mindful sensory walk in Stockwood Open Space. We’ll meet outside the entrance at the bottom of Stockwood Road for 10.30am.
Sensory walks are a brilliant way to connect with nature, to slow down and notice your surroundings. They have a positive effect on mental health and wellbeing and people report feeling calmer and more relaxed following them.
The pace will be slow and mindful. We will adjust our speed to the slowest in the group and make sure we are all keeping up, ensuring the walk is accessible and inclusive. Anyone wishing to discover nature through their senses will enjoy this walk.
Most of this walk is on a concrete path but we will also work off the path for short distance on a footpath. Please wear weather appropriate clothes (including wet weather clothing) and sturdy shoes.
Please note that the track can be a little muddy and there are no toilets close by. There is parking by the entrance to the Open Space and the bus stop at the Coots is a 5 minute walk away.
