After catching the 24 bus from our meeting point at Horfield Leisure Centre we start the walk itself when we get off at the bus stop for Fairfield School at the bottom of Purdown.
The walk starts with a short but moderate climb up the ridge, to enjoy panoramic views over East Bristol and to the South, from there we pass through Long Wood where we can spot wooden wildlife-themed sculptures.
Then we will partly double-back by road to Cheswick Village to the Boston Tea Party for refreshments and facilities, afterwards we will catch a range of buses back – 72 to Filton Avenue and Gloucester road or the 10/11 to Horfield Leisure Centre and Southmead Hospital.
