Treasure Island Trail starts outside the building where the original treasure map was first created in English literature and then takes in sites relevant to Treasure Island, Robinson Crusoe and Bristol’s piratical past including Long John Silver’s pub, the area where Blackbeard was brought up and the pub in which Daniel Dfoe is said to have met the Bristol castaway who inspired Robinson Crusoe.
