Starting at the Coop in St Anne’s, we will explore the heritage of the area. On the site where the Coop now stands was once a HUGE factory which employed thousands of people. We will explore back to the times of Henry VIII and his sacking of St Anne’s Chapel and see the railway architecture of Brunel. We will also visit the oldest church in Brislington which dates back to the 13th century and see the grave of a surprisingly old gentleman. We will also take in a bit of Brislington Meadow and Eastwood Farm. It is a 6.5 mile walk with some hills and steep steps – we’ll walk slowly so allow at least 3 hours.
