This course is designed for anyone who wants to lead walks for groups in their local area or organisation as a volunteer.
This course will give you the skills required to be able to lead a group walk*.
There will be practical and theoretical learning throughout the morning session.
Key learning objectives are to:
– develop the tools required to confidently and safely plan and lead a group walk
– know how to complete a risk assessment
– understand ‘what is wellbeing’
– know tools to develop wellbeing during a walk
– know how and when to use signposting
