Description

When Rosa Parks sat down, Bristol stood up and marched, and, on the day it defeated the Colour Bar, Martin Luther King Had A Dream.

The Boycott also paved the way for the Race Relations Act of 1965.

Walks4Change will walk a mile (or two) in the shoes of the pioneering protestors that led the Bristol Bus Boycott. This walk will visit numerous sites connected to the Boycott.

From plaques, statues, and murals to stained glass windows and bus stops, this tour will visit sites linked to those who led and supported it.

Also, it will take in sites connected to the recent campaign work commemorating the Boycott’s contribution to a better Bristol and Britain.
