Walking touch rugby is a sport for everyone, male or female, but primarily aimed and the 55+ age group.
Our membership comprises around 36 in total, of which about a third are female.
Whilst we aim to be competitive, the idea is to have fun and enjoy the comradeship of a team sport.
Rules are in place to ensure everyone is as safe as possible while playing. Inclusivity is key to the ethos of Broad Plain Pioneers. At the end of play we all enjoy a chat over coffee/tea and cake/biscuits.
No previous knowledge of rugby is needed just a willingness to play and enjoy yourself whilst benefiting from good exercise.
No special equipment is required beyond clothing and trainers/walking or football boots.
It is an outside sport so players need to be dressed accordingly.
Come along and enjoy the first session which is free.
