Follow in the footsteps of the Electrical Association for Women (EAW).
EAW was formed in 1924 and a Bristol branch was established in 1929.
The tour explores electricity in infrastructure, entertainment and education, walking up to the EAW branch meeting location at the top of Park Street. Highlights include a bascule bridge and a well-connected clock.
The walk starts and ends at M Shed, to coincide with the Watts In A Home – Electric Dreams activity day, developed by Women’s Engineering Society with funding from the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Ingenious grant scheme.
