Being in lockdown over the winter months has had a recognisable impact on the physical and mental wellbeing of many Bristol residents. The Bristol & Bath Parks Foundation is launching a new community fundraiser to get us all moving and enjoying the green spaces of the city again.
In March, April or May, set yourself the challenge of reaching 100km over one month with a daily walk, run, bike, buggy push, or whatever you like. Of course, remember to keep two metres apart from those not in your household or support bubble when you’re out exercising as per current government guidance.
The sponsorship you raise from the challenge will help volunteers with community nature and conservation projects, litter picking and community events.
- £5 can provide tools for volunteers to improve habitats
- £10 can supply equipment for one volunteer to litter pick
- £25 can provide wildflower seeds to help re-wild a small area
The Bristol & Bath Parks Foundation asks for a £5 registration fee to confirm your place. The team will then be in touch with details about how to set up your fundraising page. Register and find further information on Eventbrite.
