Bristol Ramblers is one of the largest walking groups in the country, offering about 300 walks each year to suit all preferences.
Our objectives are to promote walking and to protect and improve the walking environment. We also work to improve footpaths and access to the countryside, to protect rights of way and to influence local authorities and landowners.
We organise group walks within Bristol itself, and in the Cotswolds, South Wales (including the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley), Somerset, the Mendips and further afield.
We car share from Bristol for our full day walks on Sundays, and use public transport wherever possible for our Wednesday and Saturday walks, which are usually closer to Bristol.
You don’t have to be a member to come on one of our walks. New members are always made welcome, and after three walks, if you enjoy what we do, we would ask you to formally join the Ramblers. Please visit the website for more details.
Also on the website there are details of walks you can walk on your own in and around Bristol.
