Bristol Walk Fest launches 1st May, and this year we have company…

Bristol Walk Fest is an annual festival held between 1st and 31st May, showcasing the best of Bristol for everyone to enjoy with inclusive walks taking place across the city for people of all ages, interests and abilities.

The festival has been taking place for over a decade and is one of the highlights of spring in Bristol, providing free and low-cost walking activities for all. This year, we are delighted to announce that North Somerset is launching a sister festival, North Somerset Walk Fest, which will also take place during ‘Living Streets’ National Walking Month.

Karen Lloyd, Bristol Walk Fest Director said, “In 2024, Bristol Walk Fest and North Somerset Walk Fest will offer an incredible 250 walks during May, encouraging more people to explore their local area and try something new.”

In Bristol, 8,000 programmes have been distributed to libraries, leisure centres and community centres across the city to help spread the word. The entire catalogue of events is also available to view on the Bristol Walk Fest website. Events range across different themes including health and well-being, walking sports, nature and wildlife, history and architecture and arts and culture.

Don’t miss Bristol Walk Fest’s launch event taking place on 1st May with an inaugural group walk followed by talks from Bristol’s walking community, hosted by Ellis Brigham. Tickets so going fast, so book yours here before they are gone!
