Welcome to
Bristol Walk Fest 2024

The city’s hugely popular walking festival is back!

Over 80 providers are putting on around 200 walks in 2024, so take a look around our website and join in with this year’s Bristol Walk Fest.

Bristol’s walking festival has been running for over 10 years and regularly attracts over 7,500 attendees yearly.

We showcase a wide variety of walking related events and activities, personal challenges, self-guided walking routes and discussion events throughout the month of May each year. Whether you like historical tours, nature walks, exploring street art, walking sports, or you just want to get fit and enjoy some fresh air, there will always be something for everyone.

The mostly free walks and activities are for all ages, all backgrounds and all levels of fitness. See what you’d like to give a go, then get out there and enjoy what our great city has to offer!

Here’s some of our 2023 feedback:

A great opportunity to highlight walking in the city and link with other groups and individuals with an interest in walking.”

The fantastic diversity of the walks shows what a multifaceted, multicultural city Bristol is!

It was a wonderful day. The guide was excellent, informative and knew a huge amount about the area we walked through. All very interesting. Pace was perfect.”

Such a great way to get an inside view of Bristol.”

As a year-round gift from us, we’ve developed a helpful booklet featuring a selection of wonderful self-guided walks around Bristol that can be carried out throughout the year.

Our walking app partner, Go Jauntly has a great feature where you can select a range of short walks around your neighbourhood directly from your home. The app can choose the ‘greenest’ route around your area for a nice pre- or post-work walk.
