Join Bristol Ramblers for this walk across the Downs and through Sneyd Park to Bishop’s Knoll, the site of a wartime hospital.
We will descend to the railway line, walking between it and the Portway, passing the wicker whales.
We will then walk through Sneyd Park Nature Reserve to Sea Mills, where we have a short refreshment break by the River Trym.
We will follow the path along the River Avon for a short way, before crossing the Portway and walking to Sea Mills Church.
From there we will recross the River Trym before beginning our gradual ascent through Sneyd Park and back to the Downs.
This walk is on a mixture of surfaced and unsurfaced paths.
Depending on the weather, some may be muddy.
Please bring a drink and snack for a mid-walk break.
