Description

Take a walk through the first night of the Bristol Blitz.

An evening which saw 148 Nazi planes bomb the city center and changed the face of the city forevermore.

This tour takes you back to the 24th of November 1940.

The first night of the Bristol Blitz.

You’ll trace the destruction caused by 160 tonnes of high explosives as you walk from the old town out to Temple Church.

Here how Castle Park used to be packed full with buildings, see entrances to air raid shelters and three bombed out churches.

You’ll hear tales of rivers of rats fleeing the city, observe shrapnel damaged walls and see photographs of the city before and after the Blitz.

Your guide will be dressed as a WWII air raid warden and will meet your group outside the main entrance of the Corn Exchange on Corn Street.
