Starts

Ends

Description

Join us for a delightful ramble into Kingswood’s past, taking in the buildings, rich heritage and quirky features of the High Street.

Hear stories from bootmakers, to clay pits, boxing in pub backrooms and search for the burial spot of a circus elephant.

This is a co-created community arts project supported by Kingswood Town Council.

The walk has been researched and compiled through public workshops in which residents were invited to bring photos, maps, memories and anecdotes; then share, edit and organise the research into points of interest.

The result is a blend of social, political, industrial and personal history telling the story of this area East of Bristol.
