The walk will cover over 300 years of extraordinary queer history.
Stories include two men sentenced to death in 1753 for sex in the back room of a pub, a “female sailor boy” in the 1850s, lesbian suffragettes in the early 1900s, the pub that was frequented by gays from a least the 1930s, and the first person in the world to undergo full surgical transition from female to male in the 1940s.
The walk will show the locations of these events.
