Long Ashton is in North Somerset and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086.
It is 5 miles from the centre of Bristol but has a very different feel.
Its history is based on agriculture but it grew significantly in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The village stretches over two miles from Ashton Court with an extraordinary variety of architecture dating from the 12th Saint Mary’s Church to 21st century homes.
One of its claims to fame is it is where Ribena and Babychamp were developed.
The walk is largely rural on footpaths through woodlands and fields with one modest hill and may not be suitable for prams.
