Description

The world rejoices: summer is coming in and winter’s gone away.

Celebrate Beltane and the turning of the year with this special walk through an ancient landscape to one of England’s largest stone circle complexes.

With storyteller James Lawrence as your guide, you’ll embark on a walk that blends history, storytelling and nature connection like never before.

From the Maes Knoll hillfort we’ll see some of the best views over Bristol and beyond, before descending into gorgeous Somerset countryside.

We’ll spend time at Stanton Drew, charged with thousands of years of May Day energy.

We’ll then walk through more beautiful countryside to Pensford and the Rising Sun inn.

Along the way we’ll hear stories from over 2,000 years of local history: and celebrate the energy of May Day, which is still very much alive today.

Minimum fitness level required.
