Description

Join Steve Melia, co-founder of Railwalks.co.uk, for an engaging 3.5 mile rail walk through the green spaces of north Bristol.

This event begins at Bristol Temple Meads station, where the group will meet on the departure platform at 13:45 to catch the 14:04 train.

You will arrive at Ashley Down – the city’s newest rail station – to begin an exploration of the local landscape. The route features a gentle climb up Purdown and traverses the expansive Stoke Park, offering participants spectacular views over the northern reaches of the city.

This unique rail walk provides a wonderful opportunity to discover some of Bristol’s most impressive open spaces while appreciating the area’s geography.

The walk concludes at Filton Abbey Wood station, which provides a frequent return service to Temple Meads. There is an optional tea stop for walkers to socialise before heading home.
