Short Self-Guided Walks for Science

Home Year Round Walks Short Self-Guided Walks for Science
Description

Walk two routes from Temple Meads to Bristol Bridge, using an app that will guide you and ask a few questions about your walking experience (e.g. how pleasant the environment is) and about yourself (e.g. your age group).

These walks are part of the research project Walking Environments and Experiences (WalkEE), led by researchers from UWE together with universities in New Zealand and Argentina. The project aims to test the use of an app (Go Jauntly) to examine the links between environments and walking experiences, across different people, in different parts of the world.

Taking part is easy:

  1. Download Go Jauntly for free and create an account
  2. Whenever you want to stroll: search “WalkEE”, choose one of the two walks, read the information about the research, and proceed if you are happy to participate, guided by the app

We hope you enjoy participating!
